Gary, IN. - History will be made as the Gary/Chicago International Airport dedicates its terminal to one of the first visionaries and leaders of this initiative, A. WILLIAM DOUGLAS, PhD, P.E., AAE. Mr. Douglas served as President of the Board of Aviation Commissioners in 1969. In addition, he served as the Airport Executive Director 1977-1987 and contributed significantly to the establishment, growth and development of the Gary/Chicago International Airport, formerly the Gary Regional Airport.
The family of A. William Douglas will be present to accept this community recognition from the Gary/Chicago International Airport Authority.
