Gary/Chicago International Airport Welcomes New Board Member Nathaniel T. Williams
Nathaniel T. Williams, New GCIA Board Member May 8, 2008
(Gary, IN) – The Gary Chicago International Airport (GCIA) welcomes its newest
board member, Nathaniel T. Williams. The
appointment of Mr. Williams comes after the resignation of William L. Staehle.
Mr. Staehle has served the airport in several capacities for over forty
years including his tenures as the airport’s Administrator (1998 – 2000) and
as a board member (2000 – 2008). Mr.
Williams currently serves as the Internal Auditor in the Department of Finance
for the City of Gary. Prior to
being the city’s auditor, Mr. Williams worked as a private accountant and the
City of Chicago, Illinois. “My
goal as a board member is to assist in the development of the GCIA as an
important part of the local community and region” stated Mr. Williams.
He brings a wealth of financial knowledge to his new appointment.
Mr.
Williams was appointed by Gary’s Mayor Rudy Clay and began his term today at
the monthly board meeting.
